The first step is to identify where you are right now, whether your belief matches with your goals or not. Once you have identified this, you can take the following steps:

1) Evaluate your arguments against the new belief

2) Explore potential conflicts between old and new beliefs

3) Identify any benefits that may be gained from this change

4) Consider how realistic it would be to follow through with this change?
